DeerPosted by Shawna (Regina, Canada) on 13 February 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. As far as I know it is a deer. She was along side of the road when I was driving out of Dinosaur Provincial Park in Alberta this past summer Thank you for visiting my photoblog. I am supposed to post daily but sometimes life gets in the way. Please feel free to leave a comment anytime.

Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesBeautiful nature shot, and you still must have gotten pretty close to the deer -- very sneaky :) 13 Feb 2007 5:06am Fred from Easton PA, United StatesLooks like a mule deer to me , as they are more meaty and stout compared to the whitetail deer of my part of the country. Have you ever considered taking up hunting, if you can get this close with a camera your close enough to put her on the dinner table. ( Sorry about that comment if hunting isn't your bag ) In any case this is a fantastic shot, your framing and exposure are impeccable here. 13 Feb 2007 5:41am @Fred: It's pretty easy to get this close when it is right next to the road and I shot out the window!!!! :) Sad but true Jerry from Tampa, United StatesShawna - awesome capture - wonderful colors - keep it up! 13 Feb 2007 10:52am Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesHey Shawna! Shooting out the window of a car is completely legitimate! Don't apologize. It is still a great capture! You still beat all the photographers that didn't pull over to take the shot! Great job here! I pull my car off to the side of the road all the time to take photographs!!! I especially like this technique when someone else is driving so I can begin adjusting my camera before the car is stopped. 13 Feb 2007 2:57pm @Craiger: There is too many times we do not pull over to take the shot. I was in the mood to shoot that day. It took me an extra 3 hours(actually more because I pulled over to sleep at 11:30pm and took off at dawn) to make the trip from a small town outside of Calgary Alberta back to Regina Sask. because I wanted to shoot on the way home. I sadly did not have a driver with me. that would have been sooooo nice that day. Angry Buddha from United StatesI love the angle in which you took this shot from. 13 Feb 2007 3:14pm j. coleman miller from Houston, United Statesgreat photography... you are an artist! 14 Feb 2007 3:15am |
