Didn't make the cut!!

This past weekend the Regina Photo Club had it's deadline for a provincial competition called SaskAmateur Photo Competition. There we approximately 460 entries in various categories. These 3 entries did not make the cut to be judged for prises.
The top images was titled "Guitar Strings" in the OPEN category.
The middle image was titled "Abandoned House On The Prairie" in the THEME category and the theme was Saskatchewan Architecture.
The bottom image was titled "Let's Go For A Walk" in the PEOPLE category.
Digital manipulation is only allowed in the CREATIVE category. In all the other categories digital manipulation is allowed as long as it would have been able to be done in a traditional darkroom.

I thought maybe you would have entered an HDR image, but I do like the guitar strings. Next year you'll blow them away. Checked the site there was a fair amount of manupilation.
