@JoeB: Well Joe, I do have a bit more of this type of work coming up but there is always HDR in the future so stay tuned!!

Wow, I've see you've gone deep into portraiture. Are you lighting to produce the white backgrounds or doing it in photoshop?

@Twelvebit: Hi there, Yes I do some portraiture also. The answer to your question is that I light for the background. We use 4 lights in the studio, 2 to light the background about 2 stops more than the 2 main. In the final product I will go into photoshop and tweek a little bit in levels but that is it.

That's exactly what I used to do in my film days. I had four very nice large studio flash units and for white backgrounds would use two flashes at plus 2 stops, or more. Usually bounced the subject lights into white umbrellas.
